Khe Sanh

About

Khe Sanh is a small town in Quảng Trị Province, central Vietnam, best known for its strategic importance during the Vietnam War. Situated near the border with Laos and surrounded by rugged mountains and dense forests, Khe Sanh was the site of the Battle of Khe Sanh in 1968, one of the war’s most intense and significant confrontations. Today, visitors can explore the Khe Sanh Combat Base, which has been preserved as a historical site featuring bunkers, airstrips, and military relics that tell the story of the conflict. Beyond its wartime legacy, the area is known for its cool climate and fertile soil, supporting coffee plantations and scenic landscapes. Khe Sanh stands as both a peaceful rural town and a poignant reminder of Vietnam’s turbulent past.
