Predator: Badlands

Over three films, director Dan Trachtenberg has been reinventing the Predator franchise, pitting the alien hunter against Comanche warriors in Prey; battling Vikings, samurai, and WWII pilots in the animated Predator: Killer of Killers; and now flipping the script and making the predator our hero. In Predator: Badlands, an outcast predator (Demetrius Schuster-Koloamatangi) seeks redemption through a big game hunt on a hostile planet. Helping him is a Weyland-Yutani synth played by Elle Fanning, fueling rumors that we’ll be seeing another direct crossover between the Alien and Predator franchises before long. — James
