Boxing Day – Family Gathering

Boxing Day was a relaxed and lively family gathering, one of those days where time seems to drift along nicely between good conversation, laughter, and far too much food and drink. It was great having everyone together — Kevin, Debra, Farrell, Jenifer, Mina, and the rest of us all catching up properly after the Christmas rush. The table quickly became the centre of the day, with plates being refilled and glasses topped up as stories flowed just as freely as the drinks. There’s something comforting about these familiar moments, where nothing much is planned but everything somehow works.

We spent part of the afternoon looking through Daniel and Charlotte’s wedding photos, which was a real highlight — a chance to relive the day and appreciate all the little details again. I also shared a video from my recent trip to London, including Winter Wonderland and a wander around Covent Garden, which sparked plenty of questions and comments. The Christmas quiz added a bit of competitive spirit, but the real drama came later when Kevin and Farrell settled down for a game of chess. Things got a little too animated, resulting in the chessboard being knocked clean over — pieces everywhere and plenty of laughter to go with it. A perfect, slightly chaotic end to a very Boxing Day.
