SUMMARY:Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox - The Future Is Vintage Tour 2026
DESCRIPTION:Vintage. Modern. A show for all generations.\nPostmodern Jukebox return to Gateshead for their 2026 “The Future Is Vintage” World Tour. \nThe acclaimed troupe of singers\, dancers and instrumentalists will be performing a brand-new show in the group’s signature time-twisting style — putting a retro spin on everything from ‘70s rock classics and ‘80s Britpop hits to current chart toppers\, movie and video game soundtracks.  With a heavy dose of danceable numbers alongside jaw-dropping showstoppers\, the show works equally well as the perfect date night or family outing. \nDress in your vintage best\, for the full time travel experience. \nwww.postmodernjukebox.com \n\n\n\nWhat they say\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“… some folks have gone so far as to proclaim that in the not-so-distant future\, all of the music that we listen to will be AI generated… we’ll gladly take the other side of that wager… humbly presenting our own unique vision of a spectacular future… built upon the timeless musical genres of the past and the authentically human spirit of creativity that inspired them.” \n– Scott Bradlee\, PMJ founder and arranger \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the artist\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen Bradlee started making YouTube videos that remade the hits of today in the classic styles of yesterday\, a “viral” success story was born —one that quickly led to sold out shows across North America and Europe in the Summer of 2014. The touring act received rave reviews from industry publications and world-renowned artists alike. In the years that followed\, “PMJ” built a reputation as the “Saturday Night Live of singers” by introducing audiences to dozens of exceptional musical artists and turning them into bonafide stars. Ten years and two billion views on their YouTube channel later\, a Postmodern Jukebox show has become something of an annual musical tradition for hundreds of thousands of dedicated fans\, all over the world.

SUMMARY:Coastal Explorations Film Premiere
DESCRIPTION:Overview\n \n\n\n\nCoastal Explorations presents two art-films exploring the North East coastline\, created by 90 young artists from across the region. \n\n\n\n\nCoastal Explorations presents two films created by young people from North Tyneside and Northumberland\, inspired by their home living alongside the spectacular North East coastline. \n_______ \nThe Coastal Explorations screening is the culmination of a six-month arts and education project for 90 young artists\, who have worked together with creative professionals\, including musicians\, visual artists\, historians and cinematographers\, to produce their very own multimedia art-films. \nThese films are inspired by the North East coast – a place our young artists call home. Their films will explore the land and the sea\, showing the people\, industry\, and nature that has shaped our collective history\, present and future. Over the past 6 months\, our young filmmakers have lead on creative decisions and have researched\, written\, animated\, performed\, recorded\, composed and produced their films themselves\, supported by our team of artists. \nAs well as regular creative workshops in schools\, our young filmmakers have been on inspiration gathering trips to the Lightvessel 50 in Blyth\, Seaton Deleval Hall\, and Seaton Sluice’s rewilded “Gut”. \nThe Coastal Explorations films shine a light on the rich and sometimes surprising connections between people\, places and the natural world\, that make the North East such a unique place to live. \nhttps://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/coastal-explorations-film-premiere-tickets-1987994140991
