SUMMARY:From the SME Leaders Masterclass to Durham Cathedral: Leadership\, History and Reflection
DESCRIPTION:During my two-day attendance at the SME Leaders Masterclass hosted by Durham University Business School on the 23rd and 24th of April 2026\, I had the opportunity to spend time exploring one of the most remarkable landmarks in the North East—Durham Cathedral. The course itself was held in the university’s impressive new Waterside Building\, a modern state-of-the-art facility that reflects innovation\, leadership\, and forward-thinking business development. The SME Leaders Masterclass forms part of Durham University Business School’s wider “Smart and Scale Up” programme\, designed to help regional SMEs grow\, innovate\, and develop stronger strategic leadership. It was an inspiring environment to be in\, surrounded by business leaders\, entrepreneurs\, and professionals focused on development and progress. \nRead More \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:LMS Black 5 No. 44871 at Newcastle Central Station Steam Charter to Edinburgh
DESCRIPTION:A brilliant surprise at Newcastle Central Station — I had just arrived from Durham on another platform when I spotted the magnificent LMS Black 5 No. 44871 standing with a West Coast Railways steam charter. \nThis classic black steam locomotive was preparing to depart for Edinburgh\, filling the station with that unmistakable sound\, steam\, and atmosphere that only a heritage locomotive can create. \nThere’s always something special about unexpectedly seeing a steam engine at a modern mainline station\, and catching 44871 at Newcastle Central made the journey even better. \nFilmed at Newcastle Central Station\, April 2026. \nLocomotive: LMS Black 5 No. 44871\nOperator: West Coast Railways\nRoute: Newcastle – Edinburgh\nLocation: Newcastle Central Station \n#SteamTrain #LMSBlack5 #44871 #NewcastleCentral #SteamLocomotive #WestCoastRailways #RailwayPhotography #Trainspotting #HeritageRail #SteamCharter #NewcastleStation #Railtour #BritishRailways #SteamRailway #TrainVideo \nRead More
